And also, being a Hispanic Studies major = professors bringing dulces (sweets) and other food for the last day of class. Today, my Art and Mechanics of Translation prof brought Argentinian alfajores.
THESE:
Really crumbly/soft cookie on the outside, dulce de leche in the middle (can only describe it as a caramel-type thing except better and including condensed milk somehow), and coconut sprinkled on. Yes. So good.
And my Spanish prof for my two classes tomorrow (same guy) said he was bringing both sweet and salty snacks, since he said something (in Spanish) to the effect of, "This world is split. There are men and there are women. There are those who are rich and those who are poor. There are the old and the young, the tall and the short. And so, there are those who prefer salty food and those that prefer sweet food. Which one do you guys prefer?"
"...........Both?"
"Ah bueno. Jaja....entonces, voy a traer algo dulce y algo salado para compartir..."
Hahahahaha. Typical college students. And yayyy Spanish profs =].
But YEAH. It's DECEMBER. The (almost) end of the first semester of my junior year!....!
I strongly approve of these alfajores. Yessssss!
