I'm really glad I went to English Retreat. Really, really glad. There are so many good things that have come of it--lessons and relationships that I don't think I would have learned or made had I not gone. Especially the lessons--crucial.

Thank You, God, for giving me a needed time and place to remember my sinfulness and Your worship-demanding divinity.

Verse of the weekend, even though this was not part of the actual retreat program (rather, of my personal thoughts, struggles, and heart):

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

So that Christ's power may rest on me. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
