It is much harder to unrequitedly like someone and still be kind to them. But that is what we are called to—love. Love isn't blind; if anything, it sees even more clearly than the rest, and still offers its vulnerabilities. To like someone and still be kind without expectation of receiving any affection in return is what one must do.
