Praise God for the end of this week. It's been exhausting, to say the least.
Obedience. A concept that seems to have been pushed to the back-burner of my mind. A sentence from David's blog made me think a lot. Doesn't matter if you (think you) fail or succeed, if you want to or don't want to--it only matters that you obey. It's a beautiful picture that has gathered dust in my head.
Facing all these decisions now, big decisions, I see how, even while striving to follow God's will, I am biased favorably towards the things I want to do, and unfavorably towards things I don't want to do. My biases, of course, shade my desires one way or the other, and I don't even realize it. Tricky.
Jesus Christ, pull me through. Teach me to be objective, to listen to Your voice, to be obedient to You. Thank you for the blessings you have showered me with, and for the people you have put in my life to challenge and stretch me.
