To remind myself that God is good.
1) Woke up on time to not miss class (and to also find parking) even though my alarm was broken this morning.
2) Free breakfast tacos + GREAT coffee at school from Central Market.
3) Law school classmates that somehow make you feel so much better just by talking with you and joking around.
4) Free lunch with someone from the DA's Office and learning more about what it's like to be a prosecutor. Super informative and nice b/c it was only for a smaller group of students who RSVP'd...so like six of us.
5) Property is really interesting right now. We're learning about absolute and defeasible estates and conveyances—our professor has said that this is traditionally one of the hardest parts of the course, but that engineer-type people love it, and I sooo love it right now. Probably because it's concrete and a+b=c and it's all very logical, even if a and b and c are all outer space legal terms like fee simple absolute, life estate, term of years, reversion, fee simple determinable, fee simple subject to a condition subsequent, possibility of reverter and on and on and on. But it all makes senseeee which is the important part...
6) More banter with law school friends who brighten my day.
7) A Con Law tutor who is actually great and has so nicely boiled down what we've learned so far into an hour-long tutoring session and about 4 pages of notes (single-spaced, .5 inch margins). I was lost at sea for this Con Law exam on Friday (as are probably most of my classmates), but now I feel like I've been thrown a lifesaver. Or a life boat, really.
8) Spontaneously being invited to go over some Con Law multiple choice questions with a few other classmates (that I've never studied with) at Pink's Pizza. That was short and fun.
9) Going to Red Mango and getting a large pineapple banana smoothie for FREE! $5.36 except I had a birthday coupon for $5 and for some reason that also got rid of whatever tax was attached and so it was $0. YAY.
10) God is good; God is good; God is good. Trying to find my way back to Jesus being the center of my heart and self.
