So if you look a few posts down, I discovered a verse which is a base for the song "You Said." Guess what? I found another one!!
...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
=D
Well, here's to the beginning of a number of blogs over the summer. In case you don't know, my parents are willing to let me go to Long Beach for the Summer Project. This would have been impossible without God. Truly, He changed my dad's answer from an immediate and incontrovertible 'no' to 'how much do you expect us to support you initially?' to 'yes.' He is amazing, is He not?
And I will continue to wait faithfully for the support He will provide me. He is faithful.

These beginning days of summer are delicious. I don't remember the last time I've felt so much freedom (probably last summer), but it's wonderful and joyous (I sound so old). The time spent competing with friends (sports) and then going out to dinner with them is happy. The heat and even the humidity add to the mystery and intimacy of the summer, and I feel like I belong somewhere exotic (or maybe that's just my desire to move to Latin America). I'm also tanning about a shade darker a day, and I'm seriously going to be the color of the outside of a coconut by August. Alas, I can't wait for the translucent sunlight of California. It's different there--doesn't burn as much, doesn't intensify and concentrate on your epidermis. But, of course, my mind might change once I arrive.
Yeah I'm going to go watch Pirates of the Caribbean 3 now. Peace.
