I can't even put into words how amazing gorgeous beautiful perfect soothing and happy today was. It stormed last night, on and off through the night, and today was clear and sunny. Sunny in the afternoon....at 67 degrees!! We opened the screened door that leads into our backyard, as well as a couple of other downstairs windows. It was neither hot nor cold, and SUNNY!! There was middle school (I think) football practice going on beyond our backyard, the small lake, and then one row of townhouses. To hear those kids practicing and playing in this kind of weather made me so joyful.
And to make matters even better, I went upstairs to my own room, opened up my two corner windows, and let the fresh-smelling breeze flow through. The blinds on the window facing the sun I left closed, but opened the other ones. THEN, sitting/laying in my bed holed up in my fluffy blanket, I read in the afternoon light filtering through. I can't remember the last time a day like this has happened. I was so happy.
