I mowed grass today! For the first time ever! My dad convinced me to mow the front lawn and backyard, and I was like, ......sure why not. And actually, it was kind of fun! Except for the parts where I was wrestling to turn the lawn mower around so I could start back across the lawn, but by the time I got to the backyard, I had figured out that mowing in an ever decreasing rectangle was more efficient (perhaps not as appealing to the eye, but by that point I didn't really care. Plus it was the backyard).
I didn't actually finish everything--my dad did the last bit on the left side of the house (because a blister was developing on my ankle, so I wimped out). My shoes (really old sneakers I found for this occasion) were so green by the time I was done! Anyway...it was a good experience =].
